All contemporary styles of music can be learned, depending on preference, including, pop, musical theatre, jazz, blues, country, rock, as well as songs from classic films and Broadway.
All lessons are conducted in a caring and friendly environment so that students feel comfortable and confident, regardless of whether they’re beginners starting from scratch or advanced performers.

- Phrasing
- Projection
- Microphone technique
- Interpretation
- Performance technique
- Preparations of repertoire
- Preparations for auditions
We will focus on breaking any bad habits that may have formed as well as exploring the performance and expression aspect of singing, and using your whole body to tell the story of the song.
Where desired, Hayley will create opportunities for students to perform live, write original songs, and even record. Students can also enjoy guidance and assistance when preparing for upcoming auditions, competitions and productions, and learn about the entertainment industry.

Beginner Piano Lessons
Hayley can also teach beginner piano lessons for those wishing to build their musical foundations, however these are only available for face to face students and is strictly for beginners only. Hayley teaches from the Primer Level books by Bastien. These books are available online.
There are just a few things you will need to start:
- Bastien Piano Basics Primer Level – (Piano – Beginner, Performance, Technic, or Theory)
- A small notebook or memo pad for keeping your weekly notes and homework in
- A pencil
Beginner Piano Lesson Fees
Beginner piano lessons are priced differently to vocal coaching at $50 – 30 mins
Additional Information
- The option is available to combine a vocal coaching and beginner piano lesson into a one-hour session (30min allocated to each).
- Please enquire about groups of 2 or more lesson discounts.
Additional costs for vocal and piano coaching:
- Music materials such as sheet music (where relevant / required by the student) and/or music books.
- End of year concert / performance tickets. Plenty of notice will be provided and discussed with in advance.
End of Year Concerts & Performances
All students will be working on pieces of music throughout the year. Of these, we will select 1 – 2 pieces to perform at an end of year concert. (This is optional for Adult students)
This will be at a concert hall or venue in Sydney and will be a great time for parents, grandparents, friends and others to experience the hard work all the students have put in throughout the year.
Students will also be expected to dress appropriately for the end of year performance as they would for a school play or concert and we will discuss styling (depending on age group) once we have chosen the pieces of music to be performed.
Information about the end of year performance will be sent out well in advance.
Note: Students in the Artist Development Coaching Program will have additional opportunities to perform with or open for Hayley throughout the year.
Payment Terms & Cancellation Policy
Vocal Coaching and Piano Lessons
Note: A minimum commitment of one month payment up front (either 4 or 5 lessons, depending on the month) is required. We apologise for the inconvenience, however this is to protect us against last minute cancelations.
Payment by the Month:
- Students are required to pay for one months lessons in advance – either four or five sessions. This will be determined based on the number of times your scheduled lesson day occurs within the upcoming month.
- Payment for the full month must be received on or before the 1st lesson of the month. It is also preferable that students pay for their upcoming month’s coaching sessions on their last lesson day for the preceding month.

Cancellation Policy
Student Cancellations
We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. If students cancel their coaching session(s) up to 24 hours prior to their scheduled lesson time we will endeavour to schedule make-up session(s) within the same month (preferably the same week, where availability allows).
Notifications under 24 hours notice or no shows will result in the loss of the lesson fee altogether and no make-up session will be allowed. All missed coaching sessions will be paid for (including sick days, mid-term holidays or any other reasons) where 24 hours notification is not provided.
If a student is taking an extended holiday there is no guarantee their regular timeslot will be available on their return unless a prior arrangement has been agreed upon.
If a student cancels their scheduled coaching session three weeks in a row their day and time slot will become open for new students and a new day/time will need to be agreed upon.
Cancellation by Hayley
Any cancellations made by Hayley (due to illness or other extenuating circumstances) will be made-up or refunded.
