A bit more about the 'Breakin' Hearts' Album
The creation of ‘Breakin’ Hearts’ was one of the most hands-on and enjoyable creative experiences of my life. A true labour of love, conceived during a period of global uncertainty & isolation. The production process spanned two continents, three countries, multiple time zones and pushed technology to its limits. Every story told through these songs is full of emotion and grit – just like me!
Wardrobe Vocal Booth
See, it was written, recorded and released during the global pandemic lockdowns. My producer was based in Canada (I met him whilst I was there performing at the Calgary Stampede in 2019), and had intended on travelling back to record the album together, but alas, that just simply wasn’t possible!
So, I stuck up foam & made a makeshift vocal booth in my cupboard, taught myself how to record & away we went! It was a 24/7 production line, with me tracking vocals during the day in Australia while Canada slept, then my producer would bring it all together in Canada while I slept! And voilà - we made a beautiful, collaborative album!
Lockdown = No Touring = Online Album Launch
When it came to releasing, I was supposed to do a massive national tour. It was all booked, tickets sold, and we were ready to go - then the country went back into lockdown! So, I decided to create an online album experience, sharing a new song each day in the lead up to its release, along with some fun games, demos and stitched together live videos all recorded by my band separately from our houses during quarantine.

On release, I was absolutely blown away by the response with so many of my fans pre-ordering the album! It shot straight to #1 ARIA Country Album Charts in Australia.
I went on to release 8 singles & music videos from the album, achieving multiple #1’s and Top 10’s, including #1 iTunes Country single, Karma, which was added to 4 curated Apple Music playlists, including 'Today's Country' & 'New Music Daily' playlists, Just Gonna Party, Fireworks, Better Than That, Four Boots, and title track, Breakin’ Hearts, which shot up the charts to become the #1 Australian song at Country Radio.
It was also added to the curated 'Fresh Country' Spotify Playlist, was one of the Top 100 Songs at Canadian Country radio, and one of the most played songs on CBC Country on SiriusXM across North America.
2 x Country Music Association 'Golden Guitar' Finalist 'Female Artist of the Year'
Off the back of this album, I was also nominated for a Country Music Association of Australia 'Golden Guitar' Awards for 'Female Artist of the Year' - two years running in 2022 & 2023!
It was such an incredible honour, to be recognised by the Australian Country Industry for this very special body of work. For me, it really feels like a career defining album.
